The Moonchild Foundation is pleased to provide assistance to our community in a time like no other. ‘Grab & Go' healthy food pickup at Rillito Park on Saturday, November 7th 2020. From 9:00am to 11:00am, 300 bags of groceries will be available at no charge to local families in need. The fresh ingredients in each bag can be used to prepare healthy and delicious meals for the whole family with recipes developed by Chef Ryan Clark, Executive Chef at Casino Del Sol. Recipients will also receive access to two virtual cooking classes with Chef Clark who will personally show you how to prepare each of the recipes.


Bags will go fast, and only available while supplies last.


Chef Ryan Clark Recipes

Chicken Dumpling Stew

1 Lb Chicken Thighs, Diced

1 32 oz Chicken Broth

1 Onion, Diced

2 Cloves Garlic, Minced

3 Ribs Celery, Diced

3-4 Carrots, Diced

1 Lemon, Zested

1 Cup Flour

4 Eggs Plus 1 Egg Yolk

Sauté vegetables and chicken together in a sauce pot for 5-7 minutes minutes.  Cover with chicken broth and bring to a simmer.


Stir together the flour and eggs to make a dough.  Season with salt and pepper.


Add a spoon full of the dumpling dough into the broth one at a time.  Once all the dough is added allow to simmer 30 minutes.


Add the lemon juice and zest.  Serve.

Chicken Pozole Verde

1 Lb Chicken Thighs Diced

1 32 oz Chicken Broth

1 Onion, Diced

1 Poblano Chile, Diced

2 Cloves Garlic, Minced

1 Bunch Cilantro, Chopped

2 Limes, Halved

1 Dozen Flour Tortillas

1 - 4 oz Can Roasted Green Chilies

1 - 25 oz Can Hominy

1 - 10 oz Can Green Enchilada Sauce

Sauté vegetables and chicken together in a sauce pot for 5-7 minutes.


Cover with chicken broth and add the green chiles, hominy and green enchilada sauce.  Bring to a simmer for 30 minutes.


Add the chopped cilantro and lime juice.


Serve with warm tortillas.
